OPEN EVENT INFORMATION The Premier has just opened. Five days before the promised ONE MONTH beforehand! Also, don't miss The Rock Classic 2008 and the Detroit River Days Festival, which are currently open as well. ADDITIONAL MUTT STRUT INFORMATION The Finals have been pushed back by a half hour, so that Presentations may be made on the Dock. Also, the Dearborn Animal Shelter has requested that people bring a certificate of Rabies Vaccination for their dogs. Thanks!
RIVER CITY DATE CHANGE The date for the River City Rascals event in O'Fallon, MO. has changed to June 29, 2008! Everyone who has pre-registered will be automatically signed up for this date. Thanks!
SUMMER SPLASH BASH The Summer Splash Bash on June 28 and 29, will be the perfect opportunity to jump your dog into a natural pond rather than into a pool! Historically, dogs have been known to jump farther under such conditions. Not only will we be having a blast with our dogs and good friends, we will also be raising money for charity! Don't miss it! More information to come!
IN MEMORIAMA special IN MEMORIAM section has been added to honor those dogs who are so dearly missed up on the dock, as they are waiting on the other side. The first dogs featured were Ice and Marley. More are coming. It will take me awhile to catch up with those we have lost in the past few years.
If you wish to memorialize your dog who has jumped with Milt in the past six years, even before UAD, please contact MaraLee at MaraLeeMaraLee@yahoo.com . Thank you. THE PERFECT PAIR UKC and UAD are officially joined up!! This is so exciting, as it is a HUGE stride for the sport to finally be recognized, and especially by such an old and reputable registry. The UKC is a great organization that puts more emphasis on performance for a whole dog.
Check out the press release, it will also be in the next issue of "Dog World" magazine: http://www.ukcdogs.com/ Go to the news section to see the headline.
Also, for dogs to get UKC dockjumping titles, they must be registered with the UKC first.
For more info on the different kinds of registration: http://www.ukcdogs.com/Registration.htm Registration with the UKC gives you access to all of their performance events: obedience, agility, hunt tests, etc.! Also, if anyone has specific registration questions, e-mail registration@ukcdogs.com which will probably be Sara answering!
