News on the Dock

BELE CHERE & ALL OTHER UKC EVENTS
Unfortunately, due to a computer snafu, all of the UKC#s that I had on file were lost from the database. I sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause anyone.

If your dog is earning points towards his or her UKC Dock Jumping titles and attending this weekend's Bele Chere, which is one of our UKC events, please bring your UKC# with you when you Check-In.

From this point on, everyone participating in the UKC Dock Jumping title program will need to provide their UKC# each time that they Pre-register for a UKC point earning event or give it to the Event Secretary at Check-In.

Please, do not send your UKC# to me in an individual e-mail or PM.
That will only complicate the process.

Thank you everyone for your constant patience and understanding.
We have a super groovy group of people involved in UAD.
I am honored to call you All my friends.
Thanks, again!

DON'T MISS THE VENETIAN FESTIVAL

WELCOME, ONE AND ALL!
We at Ultimate Air Dogs (UAD) would like to relay a special welcome to all newcomers to the exhilerating sport of Dock Diving. First, your dog can do this! Our only requirement is that she or he be over six months old and healthy enough to safely participate. In January of 2008, we partnered with the United Kennel Club (UKC). Specific UAD events will earn points on your dog's UKC title, while still earning legs towards our UAD titles.  You probably have a kazillion questions!  So, here's a list of links to the most informative articles ever written on the sport by our great friend over at UKC, Sara Chisnell-Voigt, Esquire.
Please, click on the article's title to magically

SCORES PUBLISHED
The scores for The Rock Classic 2008, UKC Premier and Detroit River Days are now up. Click on the tab to your left titled, "2008 Scores & Stats" to view them. Also, I would like to personally thank Lynn Postma for helping me at the Detroit River Days and taking on the daunting task of organizing the scores for public viewing. You have been an enormous help to me this year, Lynn.  While I'm on the subject, I need to also thank Scott Wayland for doing our titles and Matt Crouse for doing the Forum. The addition of this awesome staff in 2008 has made UAD a well oiled machine... but let's not talk about the price of oil!!! Flower Power

THE PERFECT PAIR

UKC and UAD are officially joined up!! This is so exciting, as it is a HUGE stride for the sport to finally be recognized, and especially by such an old and reputable registry. The UKC is a great organization that puts more emphasis on performance for a whole dog.

Check out the press release, it will also be in the next issue of
"Dog World" magazine:
http://www.ukcdogs.com/
Go to the news section to see the headline.

Also, for dogs to get UKC dockjumping titles,
they must be registered with the UKC first.

For more info on the different kinds of registration:

http://www.ukcdogs.com/Registration.htm
Registration with the UKC gives you access to all of their performance events: obedience, agility, hunt tests, etc.!
Also, if anyone has specific registration questions,
e-mail
registration@ukcdogs.com which will probably be Sara answering!
