UAD & UKC, What's the difference? For more information on the exhilarating sport of Dock Jumping, please enjoy the following articles by our friend, Sara Chisnell-Voigt, Esquire.
While enjoying out website, one may become confused by the common use of two different abbreviations. The first, UAD, stands for "Ultimate Air Dogs," the original dock jumping organization owned and operated by Milt Wilcox and his son, Brian. UKC, is the abbreviation for the "United Kennel Club."
Ultimate Air Dogs partnered with the United Kennel Club in January 2008, so that UKC registered dogs competing at UAD events may earn UKC Dock Jumping titles, which will be permanently recorded on their UKC Registration, while simultaneously earning their UAD Titles.* (Participants in the UKC titling program MUST provide their UKC# at each event, preferably when registering on-line, although the Event Secretary will accept UKC#s at the event. Otherwises, their scores will not be submitted to the UKC.)

All dogs competing at UAD events, earn legs towards their UAD Titles. Having a UAD title, is a qualification to participate in the annual Ultimate Air Games, at the Woods-n-Water Outdoor News Weekend, September 11-13, 2009, in Imlay City, Michigan. UAD Titles may be found to your left, under "RESULTS" in the "UAD Titles" tab.
*Please, note that dogs do not have to be registered with the UKC to enter any UAD event. Participations in the UAD-UKC Dock Jumping Title Program is purely voluntary. ALL dogs will still earn annual UAD Titles, at all UAD Events.
